Often there are situations when it is not possible to supply phantom power to a microphone or d-box (for example, when connected via a sound card or directly to a broadcast amplifier, in which the possibility of supplying phantom power to the input is not realized). In this case, the ideal option would be to install a separate device that provides phantom power. When installing devices in a rack that require a constant voltage of 9-18 V (for example, radio systems), it is often easier and more reliable to install a separate power supply unit with protection and galvanic isolation of the outputs, rather than power each device separately.
